May 2015 Favourites!!

Hi people from around the world! First, I want to apologize for being out for all this time, it's just that I have been working on other projects and I feel like I have neglected my blog for a while. Anyway, I thought it will be a good idea to share with you my March favourites! I hope you like it.

Movie:

Many movies came out on May, most of them are good according to what I read, and June is bringing even more movies that are creating high expectations within people.

Advengers: Age of Ultron

I have waited so much for this movie, mainly because the first one was a really good one. The thing is that I think every single aspect of this saga is just so cool to me. Avengers is not a normal superheroes movie for sure and it is full of action, a good background story, good characters and even a little bit of humour can be found in it. Sincerely, I haven't heard about someone that didn't liked this movie.

Book:

The Night Circus:

This amazing book came to my life as a recommendation of two of my favourite Youtubers, Jim Chapman and Tanya Burr talked about this book in one of their videos so I immediately wanted to read it. Adventure, mystery, magic, very interesting characters and even romance can be found inside and even though I´m still reading it. I tell you that I highly recommend you this novel.

Food & Healthy Stuff:

Smoothies:

I've always been interested in Smoothies and I think they are easy on my top ten list of drinks. They've also turned into a daily breakfast option for me and since I've discovered this great recipe by Jamie Oliver, that I'll be sharing with you, it have turned into a very different and even more delicious flavour. It's also a very healthy way to drink something to refresh your day.

Fruits, Vegetables and Seeds:

Since a while ago, I started to change a little my eating habits for example, reducing some beef and eating more vegetables in all the plates I prepare. Same thing with seeds, every time it's possible I put them in all my food and drinks, believe it or not these seeds are very beneficial for our bodies and you should try to implement them in your daily food.

TV Series:

Orphan Black:

I have to be honest and admit that I'm obsessed with this TV show! There are lots of aspects that makes me love it as the main actress Tatiana Maslany portraying a bunch of characters during the story. However, it is full of everything you can ask for, drama, mystery, sci-fi and bit of romance. I promise you, that once you start watching it you will not easily stop. Seasons 1 and 2 are already available in digital platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime and season 3 has been being aired for a couple of months already, on TV channels.

2 Broke Girls:

This has been one of my favourite sitcoms lately and that's simply because I laugh since the very beginning up to the end of each episode. The chemistry between Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs is undeniable and definitely one the funniest I've seen nowadays. The whole story is developed in NYC and it's based on a couple of waitresses with different origins and their struggle and effort to succeed in their own business.

Social Media:

Periscope:

This live video streaming app has been one of my favourites lately and I found it cool because everybody can show to the world the things they're doing anytime they want and it is not only to watch random stuff but also concerts, interviews and more. I recommend you to download it, especially when the only thing you need to do is to link your Twitter account.

Music:

Last year was a great one for music and many good songs came out. This year has been a good one too so far and I have the feeling that 2015 has more surprises for us. Here are my favourite track from May, usually played on Spotify:

  • These Streets - Bastille
  • Papercut - Zedd feat. Troye Sivan
  • Hey Mama - David Guetta feat. Nicki Minaj, Afrojack & Bebe Rexa
  • No Control - One Direction
  • Hold Back The River - James Bay
  • Bad Blood - Taylor Swift feat. Kendrick Lamar
  • Shots - Imagine Dragons
  • Hold My Hand - Jess Glynne
  • Black Magic - Little Mix
  • I Lived - One Republic
  • Hostage - Sia
  • Where Are Ü Now - Jack Ü feat. Justin Bieber
  • Bloodstream - Ed Sheeran
  • Shut Up and Dance - Walk the Moon

Okay, that was it guys! Those were my fav things from May and I hope you liked them and if you did, please don't forget to share it with the people you know. My Twitter: @rafariquelmeb. Thanks for reading!! :)

I Wrote Something!!

Hi lovely people from around the world! Even though it's been a while since my last post, this time I will like to share something a little bit more personal.

I know that the fact that I have written a story it is not like a big deal but I'm constantly writing things like phrases, lyrics and some abstract stories and texts as a hobby like the one I'll be sharing with you today. I wanted to post this one here because it seems to me that it might mean different things to each reader. Also, because I wanna know what do you get from this text that you might feel it as a poem as well while you read it.

The Circle of Everything

When there's nothing left
Not a scrum, not a brick
Everything is down
Turned to pieces

The question is always the same
And what now?
It is over or is just another beginning?
All seems uncertain

Thinking and just thinking
Going back on and on
Asking myself what is wrong
Trying to fix it even when it doesn't worth

I just try to understand
And yes, they say 'Everything happens for a reason'
But you don't find it

Clearing up minds
Considering every idea
Even a thought is enough
But there's no way in

Moving on seems to be the way
But which path should I take next is the new challenge
Starting over can be hard, it really is
But only when you're new in this

You're not good or bad
We do our best always
Time goes on, we are better
Appears to work and it feels good

But pain always will knock our doors
Ready to remind us what we try to avoid
Past is undeniable and unforgettable,
And learning from it is the way to future

A new time has just arrived
Our shadows were left behind
We are not scaping from it
Just going forward

I'm stable but still green
Growing as a bud, waiting for spring to come
But afraid of the cold wind yet to come

Calm but afraid is how I seem to be
Waiting for something
Something strange, extraordinary
To come from no where

Nothing showed up,
Dissapointment is a common visitor already
Why was that? Is it blame on me or what?

After months, I discovered the truth
The answer was closer than I thought,
Inner me, guilt was around ther corner

Me not letting it go
Attached to what I lived and done
Not forgiving myself, not learning from it
Like an eternal nightmare without waking up,
It was time to set things right.

I decided to stop, it was time already
I grew, forgot and started to live as free and normal as I could
It worked and it was a good feeling again.

That was it guys! I really hope you like it and It'll very nice to read your thoughts in the comment section below and don´t forget to share it with your friends. I'll be posting very, very soon. My Twitter: @Rufo96. Thanks for reading!! :)

December 2014 Favourites!!

Hi lovely people from around the world! Maybe it is a little bit late but anyway, Happy New Year! As it is January already, a new month and also a new year, December have been a good month so to speak. Not only for Christmas but also because the idea of finishing an amazing year and starting a new one is just odd, especially when you don't know what is waiting for you around the corner. As well, I thought it will be a good idea to share with you the things I liked the most last December. So let's start...

Movies:

Well, the two movies I consider as my favourites aren't movies from December actually. Both of them came out a while ago but I watched them a couple of times and are really good films for me.

Annabelle:

When I watched The Conjuring for the very first time I really liked it even when I am not a massive fan of horror films, but the thing is that by then there weren't horror films. When I finally was able to go and watch Annabelle, I was expecting a great horror movie, which I got. It scared me but in my opinion, it could have been a little bit better. Still I like this movie specially the sounds since the beginning.

Mockingjay - Part 1:

When we talk about this saga, it is almost impossible for me not to get excited. I mean, since I have read all of the books I immediately wanted to watch all of the films and I seriously could watch Mockingjay Part 1 a hundred times. What I like about the films of this saga is that they haven't changed original details from the books, which is something very important when books are "brought to life". Definitely recommend you both, the books and the films.

Videogame:

Naruto Shippuden - Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution:

It might be a little bit weird but I do like Anime. In fact, Naruto is one of my all time favourites and since this game came out and since the day I started to play, I couldn't stop. What I like about this game is duel mode actually, where I can fight against every character and I really enjoy it! Even though I have it on my computer I don't have any problems playing it.

Book:

The Pointless Book:

I have enjoyed so much going through this book because it is not just a traditional book, it is also a journal and a guide to do funny things. And it gets even more interesting when download the book's app and you can have exclusive content with it. I recommend you to have it, fun guaranteed.

Food:

Brownies:

Although is not the healthiest of the foods, this little chocolate cake have been my favourite last month and I'll rather bake them than buying some because I can put in whatever I want like some almonds, nuts or just some icing sugar over. However, I'm still looking for a good organic recipe because yes, they're delicious but they're full of unnecessary sugar, so if you know one please leave it in the comments below.

Healthy Stuff:

Chia Seeds:

Unbelievably, this little seeds are one of the best things you can eat! It is actually good for everything from speeding up weight loss to boosting energy  levels. They are also  rich in fibre  and antioxidants, as well as essential minerals like calcium and iron and are the richest plant source of omega-3. In my case, I just pour a full-filled spoon into a glass water and drink it three times a day and also just put some over lunch and dinner meals.

Green Tea:

I think this is not just a December favourite but a hole 2014 one, because since I discovered how good it is for our bodies I included it to my daily diet even when is not that tasty. Some of the benefits are: Improves fat burning, good antioxidant and even improves heart and mental health. I drink it all day long just as water, sometimes hot others cold and without sugar but I never drink it on nights because  it is said that it might cause you insomnia but still it is a great drink.

Hobby:

Meditation:

This has been really useful and even when it is not the funniest of the activities, it have been my favourite. Just thirty minutes are enough to clear your mind of everything. For been honest the experience of being in a quiet place just thinking about you and your live it is one of the best feelings ever.

Songs:

Music is part of my daily life. Every time I can I listen to it and sing it, I do it and that is simply because I try to fill empty spaces around. Spotify is the best app for listening to music in my opinion. 2014 have been such an amazing year for music and here are some of my favourite tracks of last month:

  • Uptown Funk by Marc Ronson feat. Bruno Mars
  • Blank Space by Taylor Swift
  • Ready To Run by One Direction
  • Centuries by Fall Out Boy
  • The Heart Wants What It Wants by Selena Gomez
  • Man on a Wire by The Script
  • Wrapped Up by Olly Murs feat. Travie McCoy
  • Brake The Rules by Charli XCX
  • I Bet My Life by Imagine Dragons
  • Yellow Flicker Beat by Lorde
  • Take Me To Church by Hozier
  • Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran

Social Media:

Vine:

I have had my vine account for while now but just a couple of months ago I started to check the time line every day. I found a place full of hilarious videos that despite are short is enough to make you laugh for minutes.

Gadget:

iPhone 6:

I have recently purchased this device and cannot tell you how incredible it is! The thing that I like the most is the camera, just an amazing resolution but the new technology that Apple introduced in this device, is definitely the best one yet.

Okay, that was it guys! Those were my fav things of December and it was something I wanted to share with every single reader. I hope you liked it, I'll try to upload posts more often, Sunday if possible. My Twitter: @Rufo96. Thanks for Reading!! :)
